Arms San Vitale
The COMPANY OF ARMS SAN
VITALE born officially on 2005 in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) as a company of
fortune of the Serenissima Republic of Venice of the end of the XV Century.
The Company is composed of about thirty people.
 It includes a camp formed
by tents of several dimensions, for example that one for the commander and that
one for the troop; a camp kitchen complete of crockery (plates, jugs, glasses
and all the necessary to cook); one squared area for fencing and one area for
bow shooting.
Besides several types of pole arms, the Company can show some kind of swords,
bows, crossbows and some little piece of ordnance.
 The fencing, studied on
the treaty of Achille Marozzo, offer to the public a performance that is not
planned and schematic, but left free to the fencers’ skills.
A deep study was made also regarding the bow shooting and the crossbow, with any
doubt arms very charming and with the fairy-like flavour.
The Company pay particular attention and study on the late Middle Ages cuisine,
following rigorously the recipes.
With the help of the musicians the Company can offer a multitude of dances and
ballets of the late Middle Ages and of the Renaissance of many sorts: from the
quietest ballet to the most mysterious dance...
The
Company of Arms San Vitale is member of
(European Consortium
Historical Re-evocations) and make use of the detailed and
precise consultation of their section responsible. Moreover it can be recognized
in definition of LIVING HISTORY.
